For students who will enroll in the doctoral program of the University of Aizu

The JSPS Fellow cannot receive the scholarship in duplicate with other scholarship. For details of restrictions on receiving funds, please check the JSPS Application Guidelines.

If you are applying for DC1, please ask your current institution to issue your system ID for your application. If you want to apply for the DC1 program while overseas, please ask us to issue your system ID for the application.

The deadline is usually around middle May each year at the University of Aizu.

For DC1 program, if you enroll in October, please start your preparation around April of that year; if you enroll in April, please start around April of the previous year, so that please obtain an ID and complete the application form well in advance.

To Apply for PD or other program

To apply for PD, you must be a Japanese citizen or permanent resident in Japan. In addition, you must be conferred a doctoral degree at a different institution instead of the UoA.

If you would like to apply for the PD fellow program, please request us via email with Cc our faculty member who will be your supervisor.

Non-Japanese students who will be conferred a doctoral degree or non-Japanese postdoctoral researchers who obtaining the doctoral degree less than six years may apply for the Postdoctoral Fellowships for Research in Japan Program (Standard 【P】), but the applicant must be a faculty member. If students and postdoctoral researchers who wish to apply for [P], please consult with your supervisor.
