TEACHING

The CLR is responsible for teaching all English-as-a-Foreign-Language (EFL) classes at the University of Aizu. CLR professors teach a combination of core courses (1st- and 2nd-year), elective courses (3rd- and 4th-year) and a Thesis Writing and Presentation course (4th-year). In addition, some CLR professors have qualified as members of the Graduate School and teach courses there too.

CURRICULUM

FACILITIES

Most CLR courses are taught in high-tech classrooms like the two pictured on this page. Each student has access to a Mac computer with a high-quality headset mic. Teaching of many of our CLR courses is facilitated by the use of Moodle, a Learning Management System (LMS), and most of our courses can be found on the UoA MOODLE site.
