TEACHING

The CLR is responsible for teaching all English-as-a-Foreign-Language (EFL) classes at the University of Aizu. Every CLR professor teaches a combination of core courses (1st- and 2nd-year), elective courses (3rd- and 4th-year) and a Thesis Writing and Presentation course (4th-year). In addition, some CLR professors are members of the Graduate School and teach courses there too.

CURRICULUM

FACILITIES

Most CLR courses are taught in high-tech classrooms like the two pictured on this page. Each student has access to a computer (either an iMac or a UNIX workstation) with a high-quality headset mic. Teaching of many of our CLR courses is facilitated by the use of Learning Management Systems (LMSs) such as Schoology and Moodle. Many of our courses can be found at the following site: SCHOOLOGY.
