  • Jan. 9: We contribute 4 technical reports to the IEICE General Conference in Hiroshima

  • Dec. 24: New paper, first authored by Thang K. Nguyen, entitled "On the Energy Efficiency of RSMA-based VLC Systems with Confidential Private Messages," has been accepted for presentation at 2024 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (WCNC), in Dubai, UAE.   • July 30: Our joint paper, entitled Design and Analysis of Octa-phase Shift Keying based Quantum Key Distribution System, with Prof. Anshul Jaiswal, IIT Roorkee, has been accepted for publication by IEEE Communications Letters.

  • July 11: We have two papers accepted for presentation at the IEEE VTS APWCS conference 2023; first authors are Linh Hoang and Cuong Nguyen. Congratulations and enjoy the trip to Taiwan in August.

  • July 10: Paper entitled "Design of Satellite-Based FSO/QKD Systems using GEO/LEOs for Multiple Wireless Users," first author by Minh Vu, has been accepted for publication in IEEE Photonics Journal.

  • July 05: Dr. Ngoc Dang (Associate Professor at PTIT), our first PhD visits us after a long time!

  • June 20: Minh Ph.D. final review - This is the final examination in your life :-). Congratulations!!!

  • May 8, 2023: Our paper entitled: Network Coding Aided Hybrid EB/PM Satellite-based FSO/QKD Systems, first authored by Minh Vu, has been accepted for presentation at the 38th ITC-CSCC in Jeju, Korea.

  • Dec. 16: Linh Hoang's PhD progress report seminar.

  • Nov. 30: Get-together in Nov. 2022. We have a small party in Tokyo during the ICETC 2022 to congratulate our alumni, Dr. Phuc Trinh, Dr. Thanh Pham and Dr. Hoang Le, who (will) become termed and tenure track professors at the University of Tokyo, Shizuoka University and the University of Aizu in 2022-2023.

  • Oct. 18: Our journal artile entitled "Toward Practical Entanglement-based Satellite FSO/QKD Systems using Dual-Threshold/Direct Detection," has been accepted for publication in IEEE Access. Congratulations to Minh, the first author!

  • Oct. 06: Tinh Nguyen wins another award, the “Best Presentation Award”, at the postgraduate forum of the ACM RACS conference. Congratulations!

  • Sep 18: Dr. Hoang Le participates in the 9th Heidelberg Laureate Forum (HLF) organized in September 2022 in Germany, "where the recipients of the most prestigious awards in mathematics and computer science, the Abel Prize, ACM A.M. Turing Award, ACM Prize in Computing, Fields Medal, IMU Abacus Medal and Nevanlinna Prize, meet 200 selected young researchers from all over the world."

  • Sep. 17: Tinh Nguyen (B3) wins the Excellent Oral Presentation award at the 5th World Symposium on Communication Engineering (WSCE 2022) held in Nagoya University. Congratulations!

  • Sep 14: Thang Nguyen officially becomes the 10th PhD graduated from CCL. Congratulations.

  • June 14: Thang Nguyen completes his PhD Final Review. The PhD committee includes: Prof. Shigaku Tei, Prof. Peng Li, Prof. Guo-Wei Lu and Prof. Anh T. Pham.

  • June 02: Our new paper, Aerial IRS-Aided Vertical Backhaul FSO Networks over Fisher-Snedecor F Turbulence Channels, has been accepted for presentation at IEEE ICCE 2022. Congratulations to Dr. Hoang Le!

  • May 19: CCL members attend the IEEE ICC 2022 online: we have two papers presented virtually at the conference by Minh Vu and Linh Hoang.

  • May 12: Our survey article, Link-Layer Retransmission-based Error-Control Protocols in FSO Communications: A Survey, has been accepted for publication in the IEEE Communications Surveys and Tutorials. Congratulations to Dr. Hoang Le!

  • Apr. 20, 2022: Dr. Hoang Le has been selected as a young researcher to participate in the 9th Heidelberg Laureate Forum (HLF). He will attend the event in September 2022 in Germany. Dr. Hoang Le is the second member of CCL, after Dr. Thanh Pham (currently assistant professor at Shizuoka Univ), who is selected by the Forum. Huge congratulations on your significant achivement, Hoang!

  • Mar. 08: Our new paper, entitled "Joint Uplink and Downlink Resource Allocation for UAV-enabled MEC Networks under User Mobility", has been accepted for presentation at IEEE ICC 2022, Workshop on Integrating UAVs into 5G and Beyond. Congratulations to Linh!

  • Feb. 03: The paper: A Slotted Access-Inspired Group Paging Scheme for Resource Efficiency in Cellular MTC Networks, first author by Linh has been accepted for publication in IEICE Transactions on Communications. Congratulations!

  • Sep. 21: Our new paper, first authored by Dr. Thanh Pham, entitled "Energy Efficient Artificial Noise-Aided Precoding Design for Visible Light Communication Systems" has been accepted for presentation at the ICNC 2020 in Hawaii in Feb. 2020.

  • Sep. 18: Three members of CCL: Van Duc, Hoang Anh and Thang's graduation ceremony. Duc receives the PhD degree while Hoang Anh and Thang receive the MS degree. Duc's first job will be a researcher at KDDI, Hoang Anh will also work in Japan while Thang will continue his PhD study at CCL. Congratulations to all!

  • April 29: Minh receives the the Student Paper Award (first prize) from IEEE Vehicular Technology Society (VTS) Japan (aka Tokyo Chapter). This is the first time a CCL member wins the first prize.   • April 2: Minh Vu receives the travel grant from NEC C&C foundation to attend the IEEE VTC-Spring in KL, Malaysia - Congratulations on the first grant and the first international conference!

  • Mar. 20: Thanh Pham's PhD graduation. Dr. Thanh Pham will continue working at CCL as JSPS Fellow and Special Postdoctor Researcher, starting from April 1.

  • Jan. 29: First journal acceptance in 2018, Dr. Phuc Trinh's paper, in collaboration with researchers at Southampton University entitled "Design and Security Analysis of Quantum Key Distribution Protocol over Free-Space Optics Using Dual-Threshold Direct-Detection Receiver", has been accepted for publication in IEEE Access. Congratulations!

  • Jan. 15, 2018: An excellent news to start the year of 2018  - Thanh Pham won the IEEE COMSOC Sendai Chapter Student Excellent Research Award in 2017. He is also selected to become a JSPS Fellow under the fellowship program for young scientists in Japan. The fellowship is for 2 years, starting from Apr. 2018 (acceptance ratio of about 10%). Congratulations on the excellent achievements!!!

Jan. 02, 2012: Dr. Phi Hoa Binh, Associate Professor from Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) visits CCL from Jan 02, 2012 to Feb. 16, 2012. During his stay at CCL, Prof. Binh will collaborate with Profs. Cong-Thang and A. Pham. His visit is funded by the ETRI commissioned project.
